How am I supposed to choose?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

How am I supposed to choose between so many patterns? OK, I have to get  you up-to-date on this. Ever since we last talked, I have been living the shepherdess life; you know, caring for the sheep, etc. Plus the new three goats we "inherited" a few months ago. Mom and two girls. This has kept me busy.

On March, my hubby invited me to go with him to Seattle, Washington, USA!!!!!!!!!!!!! For just a week, but I took it!!! It was wonderful! The weather, the places, the one yarn store I was able to visit, So Much Yarn, was like heaven! Did I mention the weather? Yes, it rains, but it is so nice and cool, even cold, but I loved it! Good thing I had my knitted/crocheted accessories with me: mittens, scarves, hats,etc. 8-) 

So, now he invites me to go back to Spain/ London on October of this year. YOU BETCHA!!!!! So, I have started planning on what I'm going to knit/crochet for this trip. I'm thinking a shawl, a new scarf... so I went to Ravelry, and this is insane! How am I supposed to choose from so many gorgeous patterns? I keep downloading, but can't decide! This should be illegal... hehe

Anyway, I plan on using some recycled yarn I got from two tops I bought at Marshalls for $4.00 each! I didn't care if they look hideous! I still will use the beautiful fingering weight yarn (black with silver lines) to make myself a new shawl. I'm not a shawl girl, but it is only because here in Puerto Rico, you can't use them so much! Right now, the temperature is 88F, but with the heat index it is well over 100. No way I'm gonna use a shawl, scarf, mitten...At least not out of an air conditioned building! 

Another thing I have to tell you is that I started working on my sheep's wool. My hubby sheared Rosita back in February, and I kept the wool inside a pail, adding wool from whichever sheep I was able to get a handful from. Finally, the pail was full, really full. I washed it, about three or four times, and set it to dry outside by the garden. I covered when it seemed like it was going to rain. Finally, I bought a wool picker and started picking. I am already saving wool for next year's batch. Yes, I guess this whole process will keep me busy until next year... 8-)
